Arkansas vs Auburn Game Summary
The entire first quarter went without any team scoring. Taylen Green led the first offensive drive of the game. Arkansas kicker Kyle Ramsey's 41-yard field goal attempt was no good. Meanwhile, Auburn's first offensive drive ended with an interception from Doneiko Slaughter for no return gain.
Moving on to the second quarter, Green finally made the breakthrough, getting through Auburn's territory, with Ja'Quinden Jackson finishing the drive with a 1-yard rushing touchdown. Auburn's offense continued to get itself into a punting situation despite their defense doing a good job on the Razorbacks.
Three back-to-back interceptions culminated into halftime with the Razorbacks having the lead 7-0. The game pace was slow and the secondary of both teams didn't make it any easier for offense of both units.
With 2:48 left in the third quarter, finally a successful drive came in, which ended with backup quarterback Payton Thorne coming in to complete a successful 10-yard touchdown pass to KeAndre Lambert-Smith. The scores got leveled 7-7.
Soon after, the Razorbacks responded with their touchdown drive. Taylen Green threw a long 58-yard pass to Isaiah Sategna for touchdown. The Razorbacks got back up 14-7.
The Tigers offense was once again intercepted, leading to Arkansas successful 20-yard field goal attempt to go up 17-7 in the fourth quarter. The Tigers responded as Payton Thorne found KeAndre Lambert-Smith yet again for 67-yard touchdown.
With 3:38 left on the clock, Arkansas landed another punch, maybe the biggest of the game as 12 plays, 75-yard offense drive was completed with Ja'Quinden Jackson running for a 1-yard touchdown. That was the final scoring drive of the game as the Razorbacks emerged victorious 24-14.
