Armando Bacot Jr. alerts Texas QB Arch Manning about potential union with UNC HC Bill Belichick with a bold statement

Arch Manning is one of the most exciting quarterback talents in the college football realm and every team wants a piece of him. However, not all can have the 19-year-old's skills for themselves, with Manning fully committed to the Texas Longhorns.

However, since former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick's five-year, $50 million contract has been finalized, recruiting and transfer portal speculations are going through the roof.

The same goes with UNC basketball forward Armando Bacot Jr., who believes that Peyton Manning's nephew might be tempted to play for Belichick given the 72-year-old's NFL pedigree. Bacot Jr. posted on X:

While Belichick replaces former coach Mack Brown at Chapel Hill, he'll have to build an arsenal of players through the transfer portal. If he can get his hands on Manning, that would be a big plus for him and the dormant UNC football program.

What's the latest on the Quinn Ewers - Arch Manning situation?

The Longhorns’ quarterback room is expecting big moves in coming days. Quinn Ewers, the current starter, is reportedly set to declare for the 2025 NFL Draft at the end of this season. This has major implications for the Longhorns, as it clears the path for Arch to finally make that QB1 role his own in 2025.

Ewers, who still has a year of college eligibility, surprised many by returning for the 2024 season. With a loaded quarterback class dominating draft boards, Ewers’ timing seems strategic as he eyes a less crowded 2025 draft.

As for Manning, fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Reports confirm the highly-touted recruit is staying committed to Texas and coach Steve Sarkisian despite whispers of potential transfers.

“Manning is locked in with Texas and coach Steve Sarkisian, with no plans to transfer,” Anwar Richardson of Rivals shared.

Manning impressed the Longhorns faithful with his skills at whatever opportunity Sarkisian gave him. In the 2024 college football season, the teenage quarterback threw for 939 yards, nine touchdowns and four rushing scores.

His SEC debut against Mississippi State included 325 passing yards and three total touchdowns, and since then, Manning’s stock has only gone up.

Texas is preparing to host Clemson in the first round of the College Football Playoff on December 21. As expected, Ewers will start for Sarkisian, and Manning’s role in the game remains uncertain. However, Texas’ future with Arch Manning in its ranks looks brighter than ever.
