B1G commish Tony Petitti drops cryptic statement when asked about Michigan’s sign-stealing investigation

One of the things that plagued the Big Ten Conference last season was Michigan's sign-stealing controversy. Big Ten Commissioner Tony Petitti was asked about it during the 2024 Big Ten Media Days and he gave a pretty interesting response about the situation.

"I'm not aware of timetable on NCAA's investigation," he said.

Connor Stalions was part of the Michigan Wolverines coaching staff last season until November. He was accused of buying tickets for future opponents to scout the team and assigning other staff members to digitally record the opposition sidelines and uncover their signs.

In-person scouting is currently banned in the NCAA and costs Stalions his job at the University of Michigan. Netflix has revealed that they are doing a documentary about his side of the story, which will be released on August 27 as part of their "Untold" series.

What to expect from Michigan this season?

The Michigan Wolverines saw a lot of transition from winning the national championship last year to what the program looks like now. They saw coach Jim Harbaugh and 13 different players from the program join the NFL.

With former offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore taking over as head coach, the Wolverines are excited and have been able to keep a huge number of players out of the NCAA Transfer Portal. The following is the Michigan Wolverines' 2024 college football schedule.

This may not be another undefeated season but they have a lot of exciting players and could be in contention for a College Football Playoff spot in the 2024 college football season. The Big Ten Championship may be difficult to reach but there is a possibility they can be in the race for that as well.
