Pilar Sanders has been around her daughter Shelomi Sanders a lot these past couple of weeks. She has been supporting the 5-foot-6 guard's transfer portal move to Alabama A&M, participating in photoshoots and even visiting the team's locker room.

This time around, Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders' ex-wife commented on a series of selfie uploads by her daughter on Instagram. The new Bulldogs athlete posted sun-kissed selfies while sitting in a car.

A blue Dexcom patch for her type one diabetes was one of the striking features of her snaps, along with her morning shake. She captioned the post:

"literally just a girl🧚🏽"

Catching wind of her daughter's post, Pilar commented:

"BABEEEEEE MY BABEEEEEE."

Shelomi's mother was one of the first people to support her decision to transfer from the Colorado Buffaloes to the Alabama A&M three weeks ago. Praising Shelomi through an Instagram post, Pilar wrote:

"So proud of my beautiful babes! You have the courage, confidence, strength, and character to go anywhere, the drive to be the best and WIN. So happy you’re not settling.

"It’s your life to live, so live it with love, passion, adventure and everything you’ve got! I love you so much. Congratulations."

Pilar Sanders shares reason behind Shelomi's slow progress

Coach Prime’s ex-wife shed light on Shelomi Sanders' basketball journey, uncovering the challenges her daughter faced due to her father's fame. According to Pilar, Shelomi's association with Deion Sanders deprived her of the full recruitment experience.

“So people who are in sports have a certain level of respect because of the time he did in the NFL and in baseball and whatever. And we were told about that, coaches told me about that, coaches told other professional athletes that we know about that,” Pilar said in a YouTube video.

Shelomi's basketball journey took her from Jackson State to Colorado, as coach Sanders led their football programs. However, now she's taken matters into her own hands, heading to Alabama A&M through the transfer portal.

Despite her decision, Deion Sanders expressed discontent, calling her move "stupid" during an interview with DNVR Sports.
