Baylor Bears Transfer Portal Tracker 2024-25: List of players leaving Dave Aranda's BearsĀ
The Baylor Bears had an up-and-down year as they finished the regular season with an 8-4 record, including a 6-3 mark in Big 12 play. After starting the season 2-4, with an 0-3 mark in conference play, they were able to win their final six games of the season.
With the transfer portal now officially open, several players have already announced their intention to change programs.
Here's a closer look at which Baylor players were among that group.
Baylor Bears transfer portal tracker 2024-25
#1. Dequan Finn, Quarterback
Dequan Finn initially joined the Toledo Rockets as a three-star prospect in the 2019 recruiting class. He appeared in 45 games, throwing for 7,083 yards, 63 touchdowns and 23 interceptions. Finn completed 60.3% of his pass attempts, adding 1,841 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns on 389 carries.
He joined the Baylor Bears via the transfer portal ahead of the 2024 season. Finn made three appearances, throwing for 307 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. He completed 53.5% of his pass attempts while adding 66 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries. Finn announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 13.
#2. Jonah Burton, Wide Receiver
Jonah Burton joined the Baylor Bears as an unranked walk-on prospect in the 2021 recruiting class. He appeared in 15 games, recording nine receptions for 110 yards. Burton announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 12.
#3. Alvin Ebosele, Offensive Tackle
Alvin Ebosele joined the Bears as a three-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class. He appeared in 18 games during his tenure with the program. Ebosele announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 4 and committed to join the Houston Cougars on Dec. 15.
#4. Kaian Roberts-Day, Edge Rusher
Kaian Roberts-Day joined the Bears as a four-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class. He appeared in 16 games, recording three total tackles, two of which were solo tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss and 1.0 sacks. Roberts-Day announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 9 and committed to join the UTSA Roadrunners on Dec. 17.
#5. JaQues Evans, Edge Rusher
JaQues Evans initially joined the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers as a three-star prospect in the 2020 recruiting class. He appeared in 41 games, recording 182 total tackles, 103 of which were solo tackles, 19.0 tackles for loss, 12.0 sacks, three forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries, two of which he returned for touchdowns, and seven passes defended.
Evans joined Baylor via the transfer portal ahead of the 2024 season. He appeared in three games, recording one total tackle, which was a solo tackle, and one pass defended. Evans announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 13.
#6. Carmello Jones, Edge Rusher
Carmello Jones joined Baylor as a three-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class. He appeared in 10 games, recording five total tackles, four of which were solo tackles and 1.0 tackles for loss. Jones announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 10.
#7. Trey Wilson, Defensive Lineman
Trey Wilson joined Baylor as a three-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. He appeared in 23 games, recording 21 total tackles, 15 of which were solo tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sacks and one fumble recovery. Wilson announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 17.
#8. Isaiah Dunson, Cornerback
Isaiah Dunson joined the Miami (FL) Hurricanes as a four-star prospect in the 2020 recruiting class. He appeared in 20 games, recording 14 total tackles, nine of which were solo tackles and one pass defended.
Dunson joined the Bears via the transfer portal ahead of the 2023 season. He appeared in three games, recording four total tackles, three of which were solo tackles, and 1.0 tackles for loss. He announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 16.
#9. Tay'Shawn Wilson, Cornerback
Tay'Shawn Wilson joined the Bears as a three-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. He did not record any stats during his tenure with the program. Wilson announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 9.
#10. Corey Gordon Jr., Safety
Corey Gordon Jr. joined Baylor as a three-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class. He appeared in 25 games, recording 64 total tackles, 45 of which were solo tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, three interceptions and six passes defended. Gordon Jr. announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 19.
