“Because it’s big noon lmao”: CFB fans blame Ohio State-PSU’s kickoff time as reason behind Donald Trump’s change of plans
Former President Donald Trump is no longer planning to attend Saturday's marquee matchup between the No. 3-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions (7-0) and the No. 4-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes (6-1).
The former president has a busy week ahead of him as Election Day approaches on Tuesday, November 5th. However, it is surprising that he is skipping this visit given that Pennsylvania is a swing state.
Some fans believe the reason Donald Trump no longer plans to attend the game is because of the time it starts. The game is scheduled to kick off at 12 p.m. ET on Big Noon Kickoff.
"Probably because it's big noon lmao," one fan commented.
"He found out if was big noon lol," another fan wrote.
"He agrees it should have been a night game," one fan added.
Other fans commented that the reason he might have chosen not to attend is because they do not think it will be a good game.
"He didn't want to see terrorism with his own two eyes can you really blame him," one fan commented.
"I wouldn't wanna watch that mid off either," one fan wrote.
"I don't blame him for skipping a Big 10 game either," one fan added.
The former President has not announced an official reason for why he will not be attending the game.
Penn State and Ohio State clash despite Donald Trump's absence
While Donald Trump will not be in attendance, it will still be an important game between Penn State and Ohio State. The game will have a significant impact on the Big Ten standings and how the championship will play out in the final weeks of the season.
Penn State enters Saturday's game as one of three teams in the Big Ten with perfect conference records. It is 4-0 in conference games but sits behind Indiana and Oregon, who are both 5-0.
Conversely, Ohio State is trying to catch the undefeated teams but has a 3-1 conference record heading into the game because of its 32-31 loss to Oregon on October 12th. A loss would nearly eliminate them from contention in the conference, so it is a must-win game for the Buckeyes.
