Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty stands out with his unique Heisman fit, shows off memorable snapshots of his life
Ashton Jeanty didn't win the Heisman, with Travis Hunter taking home the award, but that didn't prevent the Boise State running back from shining in his outfit for the award ceremony this Saturday night. He wore a special suit, which was Broncos orange on the outside and had snapshots of his college career on the inside.
Fox Sports posted a video showing Jeanty showcasing the outfit for the press ahead of the ceremony.
Some of the snapshots inside his suit include those of his family, his "Heisman moment," and his days in Italy.
Ashton Jeanty has recorded 2,497 rushing yards, with 29 touchdowns in 344 carries so far this season. With that, he's currently fourth in the all-time single-season college football rushing leaders table. If he were to run for 131 yards in the postseason, he would equal Barry Sanders' 2,628 yards record.
Heisman results: Travis Hunter wins and Ashton Jeanty finishes second
The top four of the Heisman results went as follows:
- Travis Hunter, Colorado
- Ashton Jeanty. Boise State
- Dillon Gabriel, Oregon
- Cameron Ward, Miami
Ashton Jeanty finished second to Hunter, 214 points behind the Colorado star. The Broncos RB had 309 first-place votes compared to Hunter's 552.
Hunter gave the following statement when given the trophy:
"First I want to say thank God, man. I never thought I would be in this position. It's crazy. Your belief take you a long way. It's actually crazy, man. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you,"
"I want to thank my fiancée and my mother. They've been with me since first time I had surgery my first year of college. They never took a step away from me. All the hard hours, all the hard days. ... Y'all stay with me. I'm very thankful for y'all. ... I want to thank Coach Prime, Shedeur, y'all changed my life forever..."
The 214-point margin between Hunter and Jeanty makes this year's Heisman race the closest since 2009. If it's any consolation to Jeanty, he did win the fan vote.
With the victory, Hunter became the first two-way starter to win the trophy since Charles Woodson.
