Colorado wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter has added another trophy to his cabinet. On Thursday, he was named The Sporting News Player of the Year. The two-way star is fresh off his Heisman Trophy win, beating his closest competitor, Ashton Jeanty, by 214 points. Further, Hunter has also won the Bednarik Award, the Biletnikoff Award and the Walter Camp Player of the Year.
After Hunter's latest recognition, college football fans went wild seeing his accolades for this season.
"The accolade parade continues. What a year for T. Hunter," a fan commented.
Some fans made hilarious analogies while others commended his hard work:

Travis Hunter now all set for the Alamo Bowl
Travis Hunter helped Colorado finish this season with a 9-3 record, ranking 23rd in the nation. He recorded 92 receptions for 1,152 yards and broke Colorado's scoring record in a single season as a wide receiver with 14 touchdowns. His longest reception of the season went for 51 yards.
Hunter's performance wasn't limited to offense. He registered 31 tackles as a cornerback, earning him the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year award. The Buffaloes provided him a place to grow and foster, and he would like to finish his Colorado days with a win for the program and the fans.
With him entering the 2025 NFL draft, the Alamo Bowl with the BYU Cougars on Dec. 18 will be the last game of his college football career. The No. 17-ranked Cougars finished the season 10-2. They started with a 9-0 record, dropping two against Kansas and Arizona State in their last three games.
