"Can't limp into this one": Colorado's WRs coach Jason Phillips delivers a powerful speech before massive Texas Tech Week 11 clash

The Colorado Buffaloes will resume action after their open week when they face the Texas Tech Red Raiders in Week 11. In the build-up to the matchup against the Red Raiders, Colorado's wide receivers coach Jason Phillips has delivered a powerful speech to his players to get them ready for the challenge.

Phillips gave the Colorado players a pep talk to prepare them mentally for Saturday's game. Deion Sanders Jr. shared the video of the speech on Monday.

"It's about ourselves," Phillips said. "How we do things on a daily basis, we need to elevate that because this team (Texas Tech), I know a lot of guys on their staff and so do a lot of these coaches around here. What I do know is they're watching the tape. They're going to accept this challenge. They're gonna talk all week about how they're gonna beat us.
"So, we can't limp into this one. We can't have our way into this one. We can't think about what we're gonna do. We gotta prepare to do what we say we're gonna do."

Colorado is on a two-game win streak. The Buffs beat Cincinnati 34-23 in Week 9 to get a No. 23 rank on the AP Poll.

In their open week, the Buffs climbed two more spots to reach No. 21 in the rankings due to other results at the weekend.

Colorado has an outside chance of qualifying for the expanded 12-team College Football Playoff. However, the Buffaloes cannot afford to lose any of their four regular season games if they want to make the playoffs.

Colorado will need to treat every game from here onward as a stepping stone, beginning from Week 11 against Texas Tech.
