CFB insider drops a massive report on Deion Sanders and Florida State as Mike Norvell's job looks to be in jeopardy

Deion Sanders has the Colorado Buffaloes within striking distance of the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history. They are off to a 7-2 start, with a 5-1 mark in Big 12 play, and ranked 18th in the latest rendition of the AP Top 25 poll.

They control their own path to the postseason, as they will earn a trip to the Big 12 Championship Game by winning their final three games, which come against opponents who are a combined 3-16 in conference play. If they win the conference, they will earn an automatic bid to the postseason as one of the five highest-ranked conference champions.

Despite his success at Colorado, Paul Finebaum believes that Deion Sanders could leave the program to take over the Florida State Seminoles, his alma mater. On The Matt Barrie Show, the college football insider said that Mike Norvell has lost all of his goodwill:

"We've both watched a lot of schools bring back the favorite son. Deion couldn't get a phone call from Florida State a couple of years ago, but in fairness, what had he done? Now, I mean, he's one of the hottest coaches in the country.
"A lot of people were wrong, I was wrong, a lot of people were wrong but that doesn't matter. That's who Deion is, he proves people wrong. He's also arguably the most famous football player to ever step foot in that stadium, and that's including a lot of people, by the way."

Finebaum continued about Deion Sanders:

"It's inconceivable, or is it, that Florida State would say, 'Deion, we want you back. Mike Norvell, we're sorry. We think you're a great guy. Here's your buyout. Catch you later.'
"Because Florida State, a year ago, was talking to all the Wall Street banks about buying their way out of the ACC. They have no credibility now. They need an infusion, more than any program in this country."

Check out Paul Finebaum's comments on Deion Sanders coaching the Florida State Seminoles below (starting at the 17:10 mark):

The Seminoles have been the biggest disappointment in the nation. While they were ranked 10th in the nation in the preseason AP Top 25 Poll, Florida State is just 1-9 and 1-7 in ACC play.

Their season reached a new low in Week 11 as they suffered a 52-3 beatdown against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Deion Sanders not among Kirk Herbstreit's top Week 11 coaches

Deion Sanders led the Colorado Buffaloes to a 41-27 road victory over the Texas Tech Red Raiders in a hostile enivornment.

Despite falling behind 13-0 in the first quarter, with the game appearing to get away from them, the Buffaloes kept their poise and outscored their opponents in the final three quarters.

While he listed the Buffaloes among his top performing teams in Week 11, Coach Prime didn't make the list of top performing coaches. The ESPN college football analyst shared that list to X, tweeting:

"Here are my top performing coaches of WEEK 11: Brent Key/Tyler Santucci @GeorgiaTechFB Lane Kiffin/Pete Golding @OleMissFB Kalen DeBoer/Nick Sheridan @AlabamaFTBL DeShaun Foster @UCLAFootball Lance Leipold @KU_Football Kelly Poppinga @BYUfootball Bill O'Brien @BCFootball"
