Coach Prime & ex-wife Pilar Sanders' daughter Shelomi drops 2-word message to hype up Shedeur ahead of Kansas clash
Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders has had a stellar season. He helped the Buffaloes become bowl-eligible for the first time in eight years, had an impressive 8-2 season and had the chance to appear in the Big 12 Championship Game. He registered 3,222 yards resulting in 27 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
Ahead of the Buffs' crucial Week 13 clash against the Kansas Jayhawks, the Colorado quarterback's sister Shelomi hyped him up. She is Coach Prime and his ex-wife Pilar Sander's youngest daughter.
On Saturday, Shelomi Sanders reposted a custom gameday graphic of her brother by Colorado on Instagram and captioned it:
"Boss mannnn."
The future of Shedeur Sanders is tied to his family
In his weekly column, ESPN's draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. projected that Shedeur Sanders would be the first quarterback off the board and be the No. 7 overall prospect in the 2025 NFL draft.
The maverick quarterback's father has repeatedly said he has certain teams in mind that he wants his son to join. The charismatic coach appeared on this week's "Speak on FS1" and said he would not hesitate to intervene in his son's draft future.
"Yeah, but I’m not going to do it publicly. I’m going to do it privately," Deion Sanders said. "I’m not going to give you regions. I’ll give you understanding. Somebody that can handle the quarterback that he is. Somebody that can handle what he’s capable of. Someone that has had success in the past handling quarterbacks or someone in an organization that understands what they’re doing.
Not just throwing you out there amongst the wolves if you don’t have the support in the infrastructure of the team. Forget the [offensive] line. He’s played with lines that hadn’t been great, but he’s been able to do his thing. But just the infrastructure of the team and the direction of where we’re going."
Popular analyst Michael Irvin backed Coach Prime on this week's episode of "The Herd" and linked Deion Sanders to the Dallas Cowboys' job should the franchise draft Shedeur.
"I believe 100 percent and I can tell you, good sources have told me that," Irvin said. "Great sources have told me that. That's all I can say about that without violating anything else."
Shedeur Sanders' future will likely be closely tied to his famous father. College football and NFL fans will monitor whether the Colorado Buffaloes coach will intervene in the decision come the 2025 draft.
