Coach Prime gives a significant update on Travis Hunter & Jimmy Horn Jr. after their injuries against Kansas StateĀ
The Colorado Buffaloes suffered a handful of injuries during their Week 7 game against the Kansas State Wildcats, specifically to two-way star Travis Hunter and wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. During his weekly press conference with the assembled media, coach Deion Sanders gave an update on the Buffaloes' wide receiver duo.
"Travis should play for certain on Saturday, Jimmy as well," Sanders said.
This is a great sign as the Buffaloes look to bounce back from their 31-28 home loss on Saturday. Hunter was seen favoring his right shoulder in the second quarter after being hit by a Wildcats defender. He would head to the locker room with a member of the program's training staff before returning to the sideline in the second half. However, he would not return to the game.
In the case of Jimmy Horn Jr., he went down with an injury during the first half of the game and did not return. He came out with the Buffaloes to begin the second half but did not have a helmet and would not get back on the field.
Travis Hunter and Jimmy Horn Jr. play crucial roles in Coach Prime's offense
By the sounds of Coach Prime, Jimmy Horn Jr. and Travis Hunter should be as close to 100 percent as possible when they play against the Arizona Wildcats this Saturday. This could significantly boost what we should expect out of quarterback Shedeur Sanders in this game, who has had a great season thus far with 17 touchdown passes to four interceptions.
Colorado enters this game as a 3.5-point road underdog but has been playing well, winning three of its last four games. With a Wildcats team that is struggling on defense, the passing game for the Buffs should be ready to go and dominate.
