Coach Prime’s daughter Shelomi Sanders has 1 word reaction for ex-Colorado player’s major career milestone
Shelomi Sanders, daughter of Colorado Buffaloes football coach Deion Sanders, played last season in Boulder before moving to the Alabama A&M Bulldogs women's basketball program. Her former teammate, Aaronette Vonleh, also spent last season with Colorado before entering the transfer portal to join Baylor.
On Sunday, Vonleh reached 1,000 career points during her team's 65-42 win over the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders. Vonleh contributed nine points, two rebounds, one steal and two blocks.
Shelomi took to Instagram to hype the Baylor senior's milestone.
"Aaronookieeee," she wrote.
Aaronette Vonleh is averaging 13.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 0.3 assists this season.
Before coming to Baylor, Vonleh played two seasons with Colorado. Last season, she averaged 14.0 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists. She played her freshman year with the Arizona Wildcats in the 2021-22 season.
Coach Prime has hilarious exchange with Shelomi Sanders on FaceTime
Though Deion Sanders may not have agreed with Shelomi Sanders' decision to leave Colorado to build a career elsewhere, his love for her hasn't faded. The father-daughter bond took center stage ahead of Colorado's Week 11 clash against Texas Tech.
A couple of weeks ago, Coach Prime discussed a hilarious exchange he had with Shelomi on FaceTime.
"Ok I was face-timing my Babygirl “Bossy” @shelomisanders before her game yesterday and I said Baby let me Pray for u & she closed her eyes and I said “BABY YOU DRIVING AIN’TCha ? Lololol She opened her eyes and bust out laughing. This was certainly a moment we both will never forget. At least she was be righteous at that moment. Proud of u BabyGirl and JESUS loves you. “Daboo” #Dad," he wrote.
Just like in her previous two stints with Jackson State and Colorado, Shelomi Sanders has struggled to get minutes on the floor. While she has appeared in all three games this season, she hasn't made an impact.
In Alabama A&M's last game against UAB Blazers which resulted in a 74-67 loss, Shelomi was on the floor for only a minute and missed both of her shot attempts. She has yet to score this season.
