Coach Prime's daughter Shelomi Sanders left in splits as he spills the beans on his hilarious conversation with "Bossy"
Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders' lastborn daughter Shelomi Sanders has spent a lot of time back in Boulder watching and hyping up her brothers, Shilo and Shedeur. The Sanders family has led the Buffs to bowl-eligibility for the first time in eight years.
Shelomi also started her career as an Alabama A&M Bulldogs player by putting on a fine performance against Oakwood University (14 points, one rebound, two steals) in an exhibition game on Tuesday.
Coach Prime has been spending Colorado's open week fishing at his Texas ranch. On Friday, a day before the Buffs' Week 11 clash against the Texas Tech Red Raiders, he posted about a hilarious exchange that he had with Shelomi on Instagram before her game against the Alabama Crimson Tide on Thursday.
"Ok I was face-timing my Babygirl “Bossy” @shelomisanders before her game yesterday and I said Baby let me Pray for u & she closed her eyes and I said “BABY YOU DRIVING AIN’TCha? Lololol She opened her eyes and bust out laughing," Coach Prime wrote.
"This was certainly a moment we both will never forget. At least she was be righteous at that moment. Proud of u BabyGirl and JESUS loves you. “Daboo” #Dad."
Shelomi, who only played four minutes, registering no points in the 84-59 loss against the Crimson Tide, posted a laughing emoji comment to her father's post.
Shelomi Sanders reconciles with Coach Prime
When Shelomi Sanders left the Lady Buffs via the transfer portal in April, her father Deion Sanders was not a happy man, and he let his discontent show during an episode of "DVNR."
“You get a team before you enter the portal,” Deion said. “That’s what I would advise a kid. I know, ‘Well, it’s illegal.’ C’mon, man. Everybody knows somebody that knows somebody that knows somebody. You kind of want them to do something, and she has been truly advised. I’m a real father.
"Where I come from, historically, kids follow their parents. When did parents start following the kids?"
Coach Prime's ex-wife, the ever-supportive Pilar Sanders, was on her daughter's side and released a fiery message to her ex-husband on her YouTube channel with Shelomi Sanders present.
“When a child, a young adult, decides to step out on their own and even taking advice, not even in an arrogant way, not in a disrespectful way, but looking out for their own life, looking out for their own career, and doing what’s best to be done, the girl wants to play ball,” Pilar said.
“How about supporting somebody else? We know you have your favorites. We all know that; we’ve all seen it throughout life.”
After her spectacular performance for the Alabama A&M Bulldogs, Deion Sanders has gone out of his way to congratulate Shelomi Sanders, mending the rift between the pair.
