Coach Prime's eldest son Bucky fires shots at brother Shedeur's critics with a blunt question

Coach Prime’s eldest son, Deion Sanders Jr., a.k.a "Bucky," didn’t hold back when defending his brother Shedeur Sanders from critics. Critics have raised concerns about Sanders’ performance and attitude following the Colorado Buffaloes' 28–10 loss to Nebraska in Week 2.

Many took issue with his on-field struggles and post-game remarks, seeing them as deflecting blame. After the game, Sanders pointed to his offensive line, suggesting they didn’t provide enough protection.

However, after Week 10, the Buffaloes, led by its star QB, have built an impressive 6–2 record this fall, including a 4–1 performance against other Big 12 teams. This success has earned Colorado a spot in the Coaches Poll top 25, coming in at No. 24.

Responding to doubts about Shedeur’s performance, Bucky fired off a pointed question on X:

“Yall remember before the season they named like 3-5 QBs better than my brother… what ever happened to that?”

Despite Colorado's 4–8 finish last season, Shedeur’s first year as starting quarterback was impressive. He racked up 3,230 yards, 27 touchdowns and completed 69.3% of his passes, yet critics were quick to nitpick his game.

However, this season, under the guidance of his dad and coach Deion Sanders, Shedeur has risen as a strong Heisman candidate, with analysts taking notice. He's delivered over 2,500 yards and 21 touchdowns, placing himself among the nation’s top QBs.

To rally support for Shedeur’s Heisman campaign, Colorado’s X page shared a striking graphic that says “Heisman” next to a picture of Shedeur.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, he has the sixth-best odds for the trophy, with teammate Travis Hunter holding the top spot.

Though last season was rough, as Colorado’s offensive line struggled and Shedeur was sacked 52 times, he’s emerged even stronger.

Projected as a top pick in the next NFL draft, Shedeur will lead the No. 21 Buffaloes into a crucial matchup against Texas Tech this Saturday — one that could shape Colorado’s postseason path.

In a video shared by Deion Sanders Jr., Colorado QB Shedeur laughs off a coach’s reminder to sign up for next semester's classes.

"Registration what?" he joked, via GUCCE. "I'm going to the league."

Sanders later responded to the clip on X, clarifying:

"I'm graduating early btw."

Colorado will face four crucial games against Texas Tech, Utah, Kansas and Oklahoma State. With two ranked opponents in the mix, the Buffaloes have a prime chance to boost their playoff standing.
