Pilar uploaded a video of Shedeur's acceptance speech from the award ceremony. In his speech, Shedeur thanked God and then praised the committee for recognizing his ability.

"I just want to thank God for this opportunity," Shedeur said. "It was tough looking back, just being at HBCU, coming to Power 5. People donโ€™t respect how you played, they donโ€™t respect the things you did not because of me, but because of Pops, because of Dad. They just didnโ€™t like him.โ€

Shedeur finished the regular season by completing 337 of 454 passes for 3,925 passing yards, 35 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He also contributed four rushing touchdowns on 91 carries in 12 games for Colorado.

Pilar has never shied away from sharing her children's achievements on social media. She even joined Shedeur and her eldest son Shilo at Folsom Field on Friday, just before the two brothers played their final regular season game together for Colorado.

Pilar, Shedeur and Shilo shared an emotional moment on the field just before the Buffs crushed Oklahoma State 52-0 in the Week 14 matchup.

After Colorado's demolition job against Oklahoma State, Coach Prime insisted that his big stars would play in the Buffs' bowl game later in December. This would mean that Shedeur Sanders could lead Colorado's offense one final time before he potentially goes pro.

If Shedeur is to declare for the 2025 NFL draft, Colorado's bowl game could be the last time that he plays under his father, Coach Prime.
