Colorado Folsom field intruder arrested: Shirtless hit-and-run suspect gets nabbed by police after emergency alert
In an interesting turn of events, a hit-and-run suspect drove his truck onto Colorado's Folsom Field on Thursday. As per reports, the hit-and-run incident occurred 1.5 miles away from the Colorado campus.
The suspect in the incident, later identified as Karl E. Haglund, 48, from Massachusetts, then drove his truck into Folsom Field and stopped at the 40-yard line near the visitor's sideline.
A shirtless photo of the suspect on Folsom Field with his black Toyota Tundra went viral on social media. At around 7:30 p.m., police of the University of Colorado issued an alert about the heavy presence of police officials at Folsom Field. The alert also warned people to avoid going to the area for the time being.
Half an hour later, the suspect was arrested by police according to reports. There were no injuries reported on campus during the incident and the suspect was in custody without any resistance.
According to the Boulder Police Department, officials were responding to a crash near Foothills Parkway and Arapahoe Avenue. The suspect then fled the scene on his Toyota Tundra and crashed through the Colorado field gate before making his way to the middle of the gridiron.

Fans took to social media to share their thoughts and opinions on the suspect driving his truck into Folsom Field.
One fan trolled Coach Prime's team by stating that the suspect put up a better drive than the Buffs did against the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
"He put together a better drive than the Buffs did last week."
Another fan joked that this incident will also get blamed on the Buffs' offensive line.
"Somehow this is gonna get blamed on the O-line."
This fan stated that fans were complaining because the hit-and-run suspect took Shedeur Sander's spot on the field.
"Everyone is in an uproar bc that's Shedeur's spot."
Another fan trolled the Buffs' two-way star, Travis Hunter.
"Closer to a touchdown than Travis Hunter was last week."
This fan joked that the suspect was a better defensive player than Shilo Sanders.
"Might was well throw him in at safety he'd be better than Shilo."
Another fan had a hilarious joke about the Big 12.
"Big 12 is weird with all these gimmick offenses."
The Buffs are now scheduled to next play at home on September 21 against the Baylor Bears. Before that, they are scheduled to take on the Colorado State Rams in the Rocky Mountain Showdown at Fort Collins.
