They had an overall record of 10-4, so if they win their Alamo Bowl encounter against BYU, it will be the school's first postseason victory since 2004.

Arguably, that would make this year their most succesful since 1994 when Rashaan Salaam won them the Heisman. They had an overall record of 11-1, including a Fiesta Bowl victory. Whatever happens, this season is already in the history books, as Travis Hunter's Heisman win is just the second in school history.

The school has made sure that the ocassion is duly celebrated, with several events and recognitions being held in the campus at Boulder.

The most recent of these was a ceremony held during the halftime of Colorado's basketball encounter on Saturday against Bellarmine (79-55 Colorado W). Some of the Colorado basketball players were also seen taking pictures with the Heisman Trophy.p

Deion Sanders on what NFL teams should do if they draft Travis Hunter

Deion Sanders is a strong believer that Travis Hunter should continue to play both defense and offense as he transitions into the NFL. He made his feelings on the matter abundantly clear this week, when he said:

"Travis could definitely (play both sides of the ball in the NFL), he’s going to do that, or they shouldn’t draft him. Don’t do that. And I’m going to make sure of that. Don’t draft him if you’re not going to give him an opportunity to play on both sides of the ball. Now, you can be creative. He don’t have to do what we did with him here and play every snap."
“… You’re going to look like an idiot with your best receiver sitting on the bench and you can’t get open, you can’t get the ball down the field. Or vice-versa with your best corner not on the field and they’re bombing you right now and he’s on the sideline with you.”

How is it that Deion Sanders expects to influence the decisions of NFL franchises isn't known, but he has repeatedly stated that he wishes to get the best deal possible for Travis Hunter, and his son Shedeur Sanders. Now that both look likely to become a top three pick, expect to continue seeing Coach Prime front and center in press coverage during the offseason.
