If the Colorado Buffaloes want to live up to the expectations of their fans, then Shedeur Sanders ought to have one hell of a season.

The dynamic quarterback has been the center of attention. He is touted as a potential Heisman Trophy candidate and a high pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. However, ESPN analyst Paul Finebaum isn’t convinced. He bluntly said Sanders' Heisman chances are "terrible," citing the team's expected struggles.

“I think it's about momentum. You start off with big numbers. I mean, Shedeur Sanders, could he get around the fact that his father's team is going to be terrible? I don't think so,” Finebaum added.

Last season was a good one for Shedeur in an individual capacity. He completed 69.3% of his passes, recording 3,230 yards and 27 touchdowns with three interceptions to his name.
