Colorado vs Nebraska: Box score, stats and summary feat. Shedeur Sanders (Week 2)

The Nebraska Cornhuskers had the field set up for Deion Sanders' Colorado Buffaloes as the two locked horns on Saturday at Memorial Lincoln Field in Nebraska.

Senior quarterback Shedeur Sanders led the Buffs, while true freshman QB Dylan Raiola was at center for Nebraska.

While the game was supposed to be a thrilling contest, by halftime, the Buffaloes knew the problem from last year still remained. From Sanders getting sacked multiple times to costly blunders by the Buffaloes, the game had all the recipes to give Deion Sanders' program a big loss.

Colorado vs Nebraska Game Summary

The Cornhuskers, who came into this game as slight (-7.0) favorites, showed why they were the better team on the field with a flurry of scores to start the game. Their defense was on top right from the word go, sacking Heisman contender Shedeur two times in the first four snaps of the visiting team.

Meanwhile, in the opening drive of the game, Nebraska rushed for 39 yards alone off a total of 49 yards of coverage and they struck first with a 7-0 lead.

Just when things couldn't have gotten any worse for Colorado, a huge blunder got them into an even bigger hole. Snapping for 1st and 10 from its own one yard line, Shedeur's floating pass was picked off and scored by Tommi Hill, taking Nebraska 14-0.

Starting the second quarter, Dylan Raiola's impressive 36-yard pass got Nebraska near the end zone. Dante Dowdell did the rest for his second touchdown of the game.

Another highlight in the second quarter was when the combo of Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter compiled 43 yards to get near the endzone. However, Sanders couldn't capitalize on the opportunity near the end zone and a missed field goal attempt also went to waste as Colorado stuck at zero.

While in the second half, the Buffaloes defense held their end of the bargain, but Colorado's offense couldn't match what the Cornhuskers did in the first half. Trailing 28-0, it required a boost from Shedeur Sanders but his offensive line left him unprotected as he got hurried for many passes.

Deion Sanders' offense scored three in the third and finally, a perfect drive came in late fourth quarter, with Shedeur getting one to LaJohntay Wester in the redzone. However, it was too late by then, as Matt Rhule's Cornhuskers avenged their last year's loss, winning Saturday's game 28-10
