“Congrats”: Oregon teammates react to QB Dillon Gabriel’s big news involving GF Zoe Caswell

Dillon Gabriel couldn't have imagined such a great start to his Oregon Ducks career. The 23-year-old quarterback proved his worth to Dan Lanning in the first two games, registering 623 yards and four touchdowns. If that wasn't enough, Gabriel is shining off the field, too.

The Oregon quarterback proposed to his girlfriend, Zoe Caswell, on September 1, 2024. He shared pictures on Instagram featuring himself getting down on one knee, kissing Zoe, holding hands, and showing off their huge diamond ring.

Joining the party in the comment section were his Ducks teammates. Oregon tight end Terrance Ferguson commented:

"Congrats, brotha. When's the joint wedding?"
Tez Johnson, the Ducks wide receiver wrote, "Congratulations twin"
Ducks linebacker Jeffrey Bassa commented: "congrats brother"
Wide receiver Kyler Kasper wrote: "YESSIRRR CONGRATS FAMILY!!"
Another linebacker Dylan Williams wrote: "Congrats brother❤️"
Senior linebacker Bryce Boettcher said: "Congrats!"
Oregon's class of 2023 quarterback Austin Novosad also commented: "Congrats!!!"

Dillon Gabriel found support from Zoe Caswell during Oregon move

Gabriel surprised many when he decided to move on from Oklahoma to Oregon; Caswell was by the QB’s side. She even posted a thank-you post for the Sooners, writing:

“Thank you Oklahoma! I am beyond grateful for the memories and relationships I have made while living here the past 2 years. I will forever cherish this place!❤️ and as always, proud of you 8🫶🏼”

Gabriel also reshared her post, captioning it,

“Love you bb”

The former Sooners athlete opened up about his bittersweet departure on 107.7 The Franchise, saying:

"We both found each other at a time when we needed each other the most. I just want Oklahoma to know how, you know, special this place was to me and forever will be."

With the couple’s arrival in Eugene, Caswell has been cheering her boyfriend on from the stands. In Gabriel’s first outing as an Oregon player in the spring game, she uploaded a post and captioned it:

The Ducks have begun the 2024 college football season with Gabriel leading the attack. They’ve won both their games.
