"I want to thank the Utah State Nation, former Coach Blake Anderson and his coaching staff who recruited me - Thank you! To my current coaching staff, I want to thank you for trusting me and giving me the opportunity to re-establish myself and showcase my talents to help support our team.
"Together, we shared so many ups and downs that taught me lessons that has contributed to my growth on and off the field. I will truly miss these friendships and bonds I created with my teammates and coaches.
"So with that being said, I have decided that it is best for me and my family that I enter the transfer portal as a graduate student with one year of eligibility remaining. Thank you Utah State."

5 potential D.J. Graham II landing spots
#1. Colorado Buffaloes
The Colorado Buffaloes will have big shoes to fill in the secondary next season, as two-way star Travis Hunter is expected to enter the 2025 NFL draft. Coach Deion Sanders has shown that he's more than willing to utilize the transfer portal during his time leading the program. The Buffaloes will be in the market for a cornerback this offseason and Graham could be a target.
#2. Texas Tech Red Raiders
The Texas Tech Red Raiders were the second-worst unit against the pass during the regular season. They allowed 305.3 passing yards per game, which was a major part of the reason they allowed 34.5 points per game, tied for 13th-most in the nation. The Red Raiders, who targeted the cornerback out of high school, could give him an opportunity to return to his home state.
#3. Georgia Bulldogs
The Georgia Bulldogs recruited Graham out of high school and could look to gauge his interest in joining the program. The move would allow him to join a perennial contender that is constantly being watched by NFL scouts.
#4. Ohio State Buckeyes
The Ohio State Buckeyes are another perennial contender who receive additional interest from NFL scouts every year. They also recruited Graham out of high school and could be in the market for a cornerback this offseason.
#5. Oklahoma State Cowboys
The Oklahoma State Cowboys are yet another team that recruited D.J. Graham II out of high school. They struggled tremendously against the pass in 2024, allowing 285.6 passing yards per game, the third-most in the nation. That played a big role in the Cowboys allowing 35.6 points per game, the ninth-most in the nation. They could look to target Graham to help the struggling unit.
