Days after attending Alabama-Georgia clash, Former President Donald Trump set to attend another CFB thriller: Report
The 2024 United States presidential election will hit the world of college football one more time. Yahoo Sports' Ross Dellenger reported former United States President and current Republican nominee Donald Trump will be in attendance for the Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Penn State Nittany Lions Week 10 game on November 2.
With the game being played at Beaver Stadium, it gives former President Trump the ability to campaign in a swing state, Pennsylvania. This will be the third football (second college) game he has attended, with the others being the Georgia Bulldogs vs. Alabama Crimson Tide and the New York Jets vs. Pittsburgh Steelers NFL game.
With the Buckeyes vs. Nittany Lions game being held just 72 hours ahead of Election Day, it will be intriguing to see if campaigning to sports fans is a sound strategy for Donald Trump.
Looking ahead to Week 10 Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Penn State Nittany Lions game
Despite this game being two weeks away, this is going to be a massive game already. In the Week 9 AP Poll, the Nittany Lions rank third in the nation while the Buckeyes rank fourth. This Big Ten Conference matchup will have significant implications for the Big Ten Championship Game as well.
With both teams playing incredibly well thus far, the Buckeyes should have the advantage here. Ohio State lost a close game against one of the best teams in college football in the Oregon Ducks. The Buckeyes lost in the last 110 seconds as they allowed a touchdown and failed to get down in time to stop the clock.
The Nittany Lions went to overtime against an unranked and struggling USC Trojans program and were losing 20-6 at halftime. Though Penn State won 33-30, the Buckeyes could take advantage of a slow start like that. That is before mentioning how Ohio State has won each of the previous seven games against Penn State.
