"Deion [Sanders] has no class": Jason Whitlock blasts Coach Prime & Shedeur Sanders for QB's actions after win over Colorado State
Shedeur Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes pulled off a major heist against the Baylor Bears on Saturday night at Folsom Field. However, noted media personality Jason Whitlock is not buying into the media frenzy. He believes Deion Sanders' Colorado team just got lucky and blames Baylor coach Dave Aranda for it.
Whitlock also lashed out at Coach Prime and his quarterback son for their remarks over Shedeur Sanders' refusal to shake hands with Colorado State quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi.
He said on "Fearless with Whitlock:"
"People called out Shedeur for not shaking the hand of the Colorado State QB after the game... the kid walked up tried to shake his hand.. Shedeur snapped on the guy… Deion got upset because me and others in the media were like, ‘hey man this is classless.’
"The week before he walked off the field with two minutes on the clock. Now this week, he is not willing to shake hands afterwards. Shedeur is a reflection of Deion. Deion has no class so his son has no class," Whitlock continued. [22:00]
Colorado fans rushed onto the field after Travis Hunter forced Baylor's Dominic Richardson to fumble in the last seconds of overtime to complete the 38-31 comeback victory. However, Whitlock remains firm in his opinion that the Sanders family’s actions don’t foster inspiration.

Why did Shedeur Sanders refuse to shake hands?
The Colorado QB has a penchant for making it into the headlines and not just for his performances. In the Buffs' 28-9 win over Colorado State, Shedeur grabbed headlines for refusing to shake hands with Rams QB Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi, citing some trash talk on Instagram as the reason behind his cold reaction.
In a clip released by Well Off Media, Sanders said:
“You were talking that s--t on Instagram,” and “you can't f--k with me.”
The tension escalated with both quarterbacks trading verbal jabs, turning a simple postgame gesture into a viral moment. Coach Prime also addressed the incident later while acknowledging the emotions surrounding the game and the disrespect his team felt during the lead-up.
"Personal game. Emotional game. The disrespect was uncalled for," he said.
Shedeur later pseudo-apologised for his behavior saying:
“I'm a human, too.”
But while the drama brewed off the field, Shedeur was all business on it. He threw for 310 yards and four touchdowns.
