Deion Sanders' Confidant Delivers His Astonishing Message to Paul Finebaum Amid “Crazy” Beef Rumors
There has been a lingering feeling of tension between ESPN college football analyst Paul Finebaum and Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders throughout the young college football season. Finebaum has been openly critical of Sanders and the Buffaloes dating back to their lackluster 4-8 campaign last season.
On Thursday's episode of the Paul Finebaum Show, one of Sanders' close friends, and a guest on the show cleared up the rumored 'beef' between the two sides.
Deion Sanders told CBS Sports college football analyst Carl Reed Jr. that he "loves" Finebaum's show, stating, "[Deion] told me today, Paul, that he loves your show."
Reed Jr. also stated:
" [Deion] loves the analysis that you did. He loves it. He said to tell you that he appreciates all of your coverage on the Colorado Buffaloes. He respects your opinion."
Finebaum also stated that he has "no problem" with Sanders, despite the rumored beef between the two. Sanders squashed the tension with his comments, complementing Finebaum's work with ESPN.
Deion Sanders, Colorado gearing up for Top 25 Week 6 matchup
It's hard to be too critical of Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes as they continue to find ways to win. The Buffaloes might be confident after a dominant Week 5 win over UCF, topping the Knights 48-21 in a stellar showing on both sides of the ball.
Colorado will have a bye week for Week 6, looking ahead to their first Top 25 opponent of the season, the N0. 20 Kansas State Wildcats. The Wildcats will travel to Boulder for the Week 7 matchup, as they are also on a bye week for Week 6.
The Buffaloes have surrendered just one loss in their first five games, posting a 4-1 record heading into Week 7. The team has won three in a row since their Week 2 loss and is one of the hottest in the country.
With an improved rushing attack and more consistency from the offensive and defensive lines, the Buffaloes are emerging as a legitimate Big 12 contender and will have the opportunity to bolster their playoff resume next weekend.
Colorado's playoff hype could ignite with a win over Kansas State on October 12.
