Deion Sanders' daughter Deiondra Sanders gives fans a sneak peek into postpartum body changes: "Y'all weren't lying"
Colorado coach Deion Sanders' daughter Deiondra Sanders gave birth to a daughter on her father's birthday. The child was also delivered by the same doctor who delivered her 31 years ago.
Deiondra has highlighted several times how difficult the pregnancy was and she recently shared the postpartum changes that her body is going through.
She posted a picture of her swollen ankles on her Instagram stories with the caption:
"Y'all wasn't lying when y'all said after the baby," Sanders wrote.
Deiondra Sanders celebrates the end of difficult pregnancy
Deiondra Sanders revealed her pregnancy in February and that the father of her baby was R&B singer Jacquees. Since then, she has shared her pregnancy journey extensively with her fans.
She revealed that she has had four myomectomy surgeries to remove fibroids that were preventing her from conceiving. Deiondra shared an Instagram clip dramatizing the ordeal that she had to go through to get pregnant.
Deiondra Sanders also revealed that doctors told her that she was carrying a high-risk pregnancy due to previous complications.
The football-passionate Sanders even mistakenly announced the birth of the child a few weeks prematurely before deleting the tweet.
On Friday, after giving birth, on an Instagram post, she revealed her relief at delivering safely, branding the baby as a 'miracle'.
"WE MADE IT YALL🥹 Through every challenge—the fibroids, the threatened miscarriages, the shortened cervix, the cerclage, the myomectomies, the wisdom of age(keep it cute lol), placenta accreta and taking my entire uterus, the bed rest, and the prayers to reach 28 weeks—by the grace of God, WE MADE IT. 🙌🏾.
"I can’t do anything but praise Him! Thank you, God. Thank you, Jesus. 🙏🏾 This journey has been long, but seeing your face, my sweet baby boy, made every moment worthwhile. I am overjoyed to be your mom and cannot wait to share a lifetime of love and adventures with you.
