"Deion Sanders is all Hollywood": Paul Finebaum dissects Colorado's reality in college football picture post Week 2 stumble
Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes lost their first game of the season in Week 2 against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, 28-10, on Saturday. Paul Finebaum jumped on the Coach Prime bashing train, as the longtime analyst ripped into Sanders' coaching style on Sunday's episode of "ESPN College Football," criticizing the team's brutal offensive struggles:
"Deion Sanders is all Hollywood. He's all show. ... He's got two, three or maybe four sensational players and revolving doors that showed up last night on the line of scrimmage, which is where college football has won or lost. The score is completely deceiving. If you just flipped on Sports Center on Sunday morning, it was just a flat out a** kick." (Time stamp: 01:20)
Shedeur Sanders had a lights-out performance in Week 1 but couldn’t repeat his magic against the Cornhuskers' defense. While he threw for 244 yards with one touchdown on 23 of 38 attempts, the Colorado QB was sacked five times, much like last season, where he was the most sacked QB — 52 times.
Even Travis Hunter and his 110 receiving yards on 10 catches weren’t enough to bail out the Buffs. Coach Prime is under the microscope again, and the Buffaloes must fix their glaring issues before their season derails beyond repair.

Paul Finebaum uses RGIII in Deion Sanders' criticism
The sportscaster also aimed at former ESPN analyst Robert Griffin III in his criticism of Sanders. After Colorado's loss to Matt Rhule's team, Finebaum said:
"If you take away all the bootlickers around him from RGIII on down, what does he have?" (Time stamp: 01:26)
The stats back Finebaum’s critique. Colorado’s run game was practically non-existent, managing just 16 yards on 22 carries, while Nebraska had 149 yards on 35 attempts. One silver lining for Colorado was its defense, which showed up in the second half, neutralizing Nebraska, but it was too little, too late.
With Finebaum now having the last laugh, it’s clear that Sanders has more to prove if he wants to silence the critics. The team will now face the Colorado State Rams, led by Jay Norvell, in Week 3 on Saturday.
