Deion Sanders Jr. Breaks silence on if he'll follow brother Shedeur to the NFL or not
Deion Sanders Jr. wants to follow his brother Shedeur Sanders to the NFL while also being around for his father next year. The No. 17 Colorado Buffaloes quarterback will enter the 2025 NFL Draft after he wraps up this season with the team. As Shedeur prepares to end his career with the Buffaloes, fans have speculated if his father Deion Sanders and brother will join him. In an interview with Mark Ingram II, Sanders Jr. finally answered what his plans are when his brother leaves Colorado.
Ingram II mentioned how Sanders' time coaching Shedeur is coming to an end if he doesn't join him in the NFL. ESPN broadcaster Stephen A. Smith and other NFL commentators have floated the idea of the Dallas Cowboys tanking their season to draft Shedeur and hiring his father next year. However, the Colorado coach said he hasn't considered leaving the program with Shedeur.
"No, I haven't. He (Shedeur) don't want to see me no more man. Aye, I'm gonna tell you what. He don't, but he does."
"Coach Prime" pointed to Sanders Jr. afterward and said he had the biggest decision to make. The former SMU Mustang wide receiver has been vital in boasting the Buffaloes' presence in media with his YouTube channel, "Well Off Media," which shows behind-the-scenes videos of the team.
Ingram II asked Sanders Jr. if he would stay with his father in Colorado or follow his brother, to which he replied that he plans to do both.
"Both. It's an opportunity to just build."
Sanders Jr. didn't explain how he plans to support his father and brother but appears committed to helping both.
Shedeur Sanders continues to make a strong impression ahead of the NFL Draft
Shedeur Sanders is having a great season with the Buffaloes, and he is making a case to be a first-round pick in the NFL draft. He has led his team to bowl eligibility for the first time since 2020. That said, Shedeur and "Coach Prime" are aiming higher as they hope to earn a spot in the playoff.
In Week 12, Sanders led Colorado (8-2, 6-1 Big 12) to a dominant 49-24 victory over the Utah Utes (4-6, 1-6) on Nov. 16. He ended the game 30-41 for 340 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.
