Deion Sanders Jr. talks about Shedeur Sanders’ focused preparation for 2025 draft as a single man

Shedeur Sanders' 2024 season will be extremely important for the quarterback. The Colorado Buffaloes star will enter his final year of college football under his father, Deion Sanders. He will want to have a good season to help improve his stock for the 2025 NFL draft.

Sanders' preparation for the draft was highlighted by his elder brother, Deion Sanders Jr., in his latest YouTube video:

"He's staying focused on the drive coming up. Other people in life, they just be distracted by females, by just different things, but Shedeur doesn't have that problem." (3:30)

Deion Sanders Jr.'s comments revolve around his brother's attempts to focus on the NFL draft solely and to avoid any distractions. This may be harder in reality, when Shedeur is trying to develop his other interests, such as a music career, as well as football.

For Shedeur Sanders to fulfill his father's prediction of becoming the number one pick of the 2025 NFL draft, he is going to have to improve from his 2023 form with the Colorado Buffaloes.

While the team struggled last season, Shedeur was one of the bright spots in the program. He threw for 3,230 yards and scored 27 touchdowns in 2023, but the Buffaloes' issues in many other positions led them to only finish with a 4-8 record last season.

Luckily for Shedeur, the Buffaloes have been adding to their offense in the off-season. This will give him some skilled weaponry to help improve his figures even more, and maybe be able to lead them to a respectable first season in the Big 12 Conference.

Shedeur Sanders in the 2025 NFL draft

The 2025 quarterback class will not be like the most recent quarterback class we saw. This class had many talented names in it, including Caleb Williams, J.J. McCarthy, Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye.

This class had many elite quarterbacks in it, and in an NFL draft where many of the teams with high picks needed a new quarterback, it was no surprise to see that six out of the first 12 picks were quarterbacks.

2025 will not be a repeat of this. The class should feature many talented quarterbacks like Quinn Ewers (Texas Longhorns), Carson Beck (Georgia Bulldogs), and Shedeur Sanders, but many of the other QBs available may not be highly sought after in 2025, as they are settled in the position.

According to nfldraftbuzz.com, Shedeur Sanders is the number one ranked quarterback in the 2025 class. The site suggests that he would go in the top 5 of the first round.

This sentiment has been shown by other draft prediction sites as well and paints a picture that Shedeur Sanders will be a wanted prospect by NFL teams.
