Deion Sanders visibly mad at CBS just days after ranking him second worst coach in Big 12: "What they did was foul"

Deion Sanders caught a lot of attention due to his outburst at a CBS reporter on August 9. It was Colorado’s first preseason conference, and Coach Prime had just started it.

This incident comes just days after CBS Sports ranked him as the second-worst coach in the Big 12. It seems like the rankings got to Sanders, who shut down a question from Eric Christensen, a reporter from CBS Colorado, before it even began. “CBS,” Sanders snapped, cutting off Christensen with a wave.

Despite Christensen’s efforts to clarify that he was a local reporter from Denver and not part of the national CBS team, Sanders doubled down, saying:

“You are who you are. CBS is CBS. I respect you. I got love for you, but what they did was foul.” [09:00]

CBS Sports ranked the NFL Hall of Famer as the 61st-best coach in college football and questioned whether he’s more of an entertainer than a coach. CBS appears to have struck a nerve for Sanders, who’s always been sensitive to media criticism.

Former ESPN host roasts Deion Sanders over CBS scuffle

Jason Whitlock delivered a critique of the Colorado Buffaloes’ head coach. As a former ESPN host, Whitlock has been known to offer blunt opinions. He labeled Sanders as "fragile, fraudulent, and feminine."

The controversy began when Sanders abruptly shut down a question from CBS Colorado’s Eric Christensen, but Whitlock believes there’s more to the story.

"Deion Sanders needs help. It's not about wins and losses; it's about a man so fragile that he can’t take questions from men who mean him no harm," Whitlock posted on X (formerly Twitter)

He criticized Sanders for his demeanor, likening him to a character from "The Wire" and accusing him of insecurity.

“He finished in last place in the PAC-12 and is so insecure about it he won't answer questions from reporters unless they "like" him. "A 10-year-old girl has thicker skin.”

With tensions high and the upcoming season looming, all eyes are on Coach Prime's response, both on and off the field.
