Despite fierce comeback win against Texas Tech, Deion Sanders fails to make it to Kirk Herbstreit's Week 11 list
Deion Sanders has done a great job of turning things around for the Colorado Buffaloes. After finishing 1-11 the year before his arrival, the program improved to 4-8 last season. The Buffaloes have emerged as a legitimate threat to reach the College Football Playoff in Coach Prime's second year leading the program.
Colorado sits at 7-2 following their 41-27 comeback road victory against the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Despite overcoming a 13-0 deficit, the College and Pro Football Hall of Famer was not named to Kirk Herbstreit's list of the top performing coaches in Week 11. The ESPN college football analyst posted the list on Monday on X/Twitter:
"Here are my top performing coaches of WEEK 11: Brent Key/Tyler Santucci @GeorgiaTechFB Lane Kiffin/Pete Golding @OleMissFB Kalen DeBoer/Nick Sheridan @AlabamaFTBL DeShaun Foster @UCLAFootball Lance Leipold @KU_Football Kelly Poppinga @BYUfootball Bill O'Brien @BCFootball"

While Sanders failed to make the list, Herbstreit did rank the Buffaloes fifth on his list of the top performing teams in Week 11:

Can Deion Sanders lead Colorado Buffaloes to College Football Playoff?
Colorado is off to a 7-2 start, with a 5-1 mark in their first season of Big 12 play since 2010. They are second in the conference and ranked No. 18 in the latest rendition of the AP Top 25 Poll. The Buffaloes are riding a three-game winning streak and have a relatively easy schedule over their final three regular season games.
They face the Utah Utes, Kansas Jayhawks and Oklahoma State Cowboys next with the first and last games coming at Folsom Field. Their opponents are a combined 10-18 and just 3-16 in Big 12 play. Colorado has the 14th-best odds, (+125) in the nation to reach the College Football Playoff. That mark ranks second in the conference, trailing just the BYU Cougars (+110).
If they can win out, their path to the postseason will likely come down to the Big 12 Championship Game. The Buffaloes and Cougars are currently in position to meet for the conference title.
