The postseason field has expanded to 12 teams in 2024. The five highest-ranked conference champions receive automatic bids to the postseason, and the next seven highest-ranked teams get at-large bids.
However, Texas Tech's focus should lay elsewhere, as there are six teams ranked ahead of it in the Big 12 standings with just two games remaining. The Red Raiders have ensured that they will play in a bowl game after reaching the six-win mark.
