East Carolina Pirates Transfer Portal Tracker 2024-25: List of players leaving Blake Harrell's PiratesĀ
The East Carolina Pirates had an up-and-down year as they finished the regular season with a 7-5 record, including a 5-3 mark in AAC play. After starting the season 3-4, they were able to win four of their final five games of the season.
With the transfer portal now officially open, several players have already announced their intention to change programs.
Here's a closer look at which East Carolina players were among that group.

#1. Bryson Harrison, Quarterback
Bryson Harrison initially joined the Georgia State Panthers as a three-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. He did not see the field during his lone season with the program. Harrison joined the East Carolina Pirates via the transfer portal ahead of the 2024 season. He did not see the field and once again announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 8.
#2. Javious Bond, Running Back
Javious Bond joined the East Carolina Pirates as a three-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. He appeared in 13 games, recording 323 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 54 carries. Bond added ten receptions for 52 yards while adding nine kickoff returns for 193 yards and three punt returns for 58 yards. He announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 6.
#3. Chase Sowell, Wide Receiver
Chase Sowell initially joined the Colorado Buffaloes as a three-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class. He appeared in three games, recording two receptions for 23 yards.
Sowell joined East Carolina via the transfer portal ahead of the 2023 season. He made 21 appearances, recording 1,300 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 81 receptions. Sowell announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 2 and committed to join the Iowa State Cyclones on Dec. 14.
#4. Kerry King, Wide Receiver
Kerry King joined East Carolina as an unranked walk-on prospect in the 2020 recruiting class. He appeared in 21 games, recording seven receptions for 72 yards. King announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 6.
#5. Ryan Stephens, Wide Receiver
Ryan Stephens joined East Carolina as an unranked walk-on prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. He did not see the field during his tenure with the program. Stephens announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 10.
#6. Nick Slogik, Tight End
Nick Slogik joined the Pirates as a three-star prospect in the 2024 recruiting class. He did not see the field during his lone season with the program. Slogik announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 9.
#7. Amarie Archer, Offensive Lineman
Amarie Archer initially joined the Dodge City Community College Conquistadors as an unranked prospect in the 2021 recruiting class. He appeared in 16 games during his tenure with the program.
Archer joined the Pirates via the transfer portal ahead of the 2024 season. He appeared in one game in his lone season with the program. Archer announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 6 and committed to join the Akron Zips on Dec. 20.
#8. Kenny Walz, Offensive Lineman
Kenny Walz joined the Pirates as a three-star prospect in the 2024 recruiting class. He did not see the field during his lone season with the program. Walz announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 7.
#9. Demoris Jenkins, Edge Rusher
Demoris Jenkins joined the Pirates as a three-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. He did not see the field during his tenure with the program. Jenkins announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 3 and committed to join the Austin Peay Governors on Dec. 14.
#10. CJ Mims, Defensive Lineman
CJ Mims joined East Carolina as a three-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class. He appeared in 25 games, recording 37 total tackles, five of which were solo tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks and two forced fumbles. Mims announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 9 and committed to join the North Carolina Tar Heels on Dec. 19.
#11. Zakye Barker, Linebacker
Zakye Barker joined East Carolina as a two-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class. He has appeared in 20 games, recording 106 total tackles, 41 of which were solo tackles, 14.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, two forced fumbles and one pass defended. Barker announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 9 and committed to join the SMU Mustangs on Dec. 17.
#12. Greg Turner, Linebacker
Greg Turner joined East Carolina as a three-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. He has appeared in 12 games, recording one total tackle. Turner announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 9.
#13. Isaiah Brown-Murray, Cornerback
Isaiah Brown-Murray joined East Carolina as a three-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class. He appeared in 27 games, recording 63 total tackles, 48 of which were solo tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, one interception, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and 10 passes defended. Brown-Murray announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 9 and committed to join the Virginia Tech Hokies on Dec. 21.
#14. Daylyn Diston, Cornerback
Daylyn Diston joined the Pirates as a three-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. He appeared in four games, recording one total tackle. Diston announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 3 and committed to join the Florida A&M Rattlers.
#15. No'Tavien Green, Safety
No'Tavien Green joined the Pirates as an unranked walk-on prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. He appeared in one game, recording one total tackle, which was a solo tackle. Green announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 9.
