"Endured some type of body-shaming": When Coach Prime's ex-wife Pilar Sanders got real about her struggles in the later part of her pregnancy
Coach Prime's ex-wife Pilar Sanders has been vocal about her struggles in life. The former model once recalled dealing with body shaming in the entertainment industry and how it left her enraged.
During an appearance on the "Second Shot" podcast in March 2022, Pilar discussed her hardships after her pregnancies [Timestamp: 23:06].
"You know, at a later part, I endured some part of body shaming, or attempt for that." Pilar said. "In modeling of course, either you're too tall or not tall enough, you're butt's too big or you're butt's too small, or you're thighs are too big, you know what I mean? You have an athletic shape, you need more runway or vice-versa."
"And then, I've been around people who have been attacked by body shamers. A lot of women. And just overhearing it at dinner, 'you're gonna eat that? you don't need that, let me have that.' Oh my gosh, we've heard it and that would infuriate me."
Pilar was Deion Sanders' second wife. They were married from 1999 to 2015 and share three children: Shilo, Shedeur and a daughter named Shelomi.
Shilo and Sheduer are currently football players at Colorado. The former is a cornerback while her younger son Sheduer is the team's quarterback. Deion is working with them as Colorado's coach.
This year, No.16 Colorado (8-2, 6-1 in Big 12) is enjoying a fabulous season and Shilo and Shedeur have been integral to the team's success. The Buffs stand a chance at making it the the College Football Playoff if they win their two remaining regular season games.
