"Even the Lies can’t stop what GOD is doing with this Program" — Deion Sanders looks forward to making the upcoming CFB season a "memorable" one

Deion Sanders and his Colorado Buffaloes program have had a turbulent offseason. From losing players in the transfer portal to allegedly forcing his team to attend his son's rap concert, Sanders has faced many problems over the last few months.

However, Coach Sanders is preparing his team for the upcoming season. He posted his hopes for the upcoming week on X, formerly Twitter, and he wants to make it "memorable":

"This will be a memorable week for a multitude of reasons. Even the Lies can’t stop what GOD is doing with this Program, with our Beautiful city, concerning our Wonderful Campus, these hard working young Men & the campers that’s coming this week! I absolutely LOVE it."

Sanders mentioned that people are coming to the campus this week.

This could be a reference to the numerous high-level recruits visiting the Colorado Buffaloes this weekend. For a program that has lost many key players since Sanders' arrival — and will lose the likes of Shedeur Sanders after this season — this weekend could impact the Buffaloes for the next few years.

The most notable recruit who is coming to Colorado this weekend is Julian Lewis. Lewis is a five-star recruit who last week visited Auburn, with the Tigers also in the hunt for him.

Deion Sanders will want to show the good side of the program while Lewis is present. He will want Lewis to ignore any negative media attention associated with the program — and their unimpressive 4-8 record from 2023 — to make him consider the Buffaloes as a viable option.

If he can do this, Coach Prime will have found the perfect replacement for his son Shedeur Sanders at the quarterback position, and the Colorado Buffaloes will have the potential to become the competitive program that Deion wants them to be.

Who else will Deion Sanders want to impress this weekend?

It will not only be Julian Lewis who will be visiting Colorado this weekend. There are other key players Deion Sanders will want to impress to bring them to the Buffaloes.

Firstly, there is offensive lineman Chauncey Gooden. The Buffaloes offensive line has been rebuilt for 2024 after a 2023 season full of struggles. If this rebuild works, the addition of a star player like Gooden will be able to take it to the next level.

Then, there is a pair of wide receivers. Quanell X Farrakhan Jr. is one of the best wide receivers in the 2025 class, while Evan Haynes is a talented three-star prospect who would suit a middle power like Colorado.

However, all three of these players, as well as Julian Lewis, have had offers from teams that have been more successful than Colorado and will offer a more stable environment than Sanders' Buffaloes program.

It is now up to Deion Sanders to bring these talents to the program.
