"Fire Mike Norvell" "B**ch a*": FSU fans blast head coach after Week 10 humiliation against UNC
Florida State Seminoles fans voiced their frustration with head coach Mike Norvell following a tough loss 35-11 to North Carolina on Saturday at Doak Campbell Stadium. The Seminoles are having a dismal season, with a record of 1-8 and just 1-7 in the ACC.
After the defeat to UNC, supporters took to social media to express their disappointment.
One fan wrote on X:
“FSU has to fire Mike Norvell keeping him as coach will set this program back more than any money you have to pay him to fire him.”
“Mike Norvell and the ENTIRE coaching staff needs to be fired! I’m sick of this sh*t! FSU was so quick to get rid of Willie Taggart but dragging the feet with Mike b*tch a*s! FIRE HIM & MOVE THE F**K ON FSU!” another fan wrote.
With the Seminoles paying Norvell $10 million a year, his team’s performance in his fifth season raises eyebrows. A fan pointed out:
“FSU is paying Mike Norvell $10M a season, is 1-7 in his 5th season, recruiting class is ranked 48th, eliminated from bowl contention by THE U, and his buyout is $65M,” a fan wrote.
“We paid Mike Norvell 833K this month to lose all of October games,” a fan wrote.
One fan vowed to abstain from FSU football in protest until Mike Norvell is ousted.
“Until Mike Norvell is fired, I refuse to give a single f**k about Florida State football,” another wrote.
Meanwhile, another fan gave Norvell props for his 'impressive' turnaround, albeit the bad kind.
“Mike Norvell put together the worst team in school history fresh after going 13-1 with a conference title. Truly an impressive feat,” one wrote.
This season has been particularly challenging for FSU. They've scored fewer than 20 points in eight of their nine games, marking their worst start since the 1970s.

Mike Norvell shares disappointment amid Seminoles' struggles
The Florida State Seminoles are having a tough season, sitting at just 1-8 overall and 1-7 in the ACC. Norvell shared his disappointment with the team's performance during a recent press conference.
“Obviously very disappointing outcome... We have to be better than what we put on display today,” he said [H/t The Osceola]. “I thought our guys, they worked in preparation but did not have the application for what I expected, what I anticipated seeing.”
“I was probably most disappointed in today was when there was a couple of negative plays that happened, just not seeing the spark, not seeing just that response that we're accustomed to, that we train for, that we emphasize,” he added. [Timestamp - 2:53]
