Loomans participated in the Miss America beauty pageant earlier this month. She went all the way to the final round and ended up as the second runner-up in the competition. She's been occupied with the competition, and Mertz has been on the field, so they're enjoying their rare free time together.

Graham Mertz has a big game against two-time defending national champions the Georgia Bulldogs next game week. And looking at his performance in week 7, the Bulldogs are bound to be concerned. Can Mertz take his team to upset the No. 1 ranked team in the country?

The Mertz show on the gridiron

The Gators came into week 8 desperate to win against the Gamecocks. They had already lost two games in their season till then and couldn't afford to lose another. And if it wasn't for Graham Mertz, they could well have gone under in this one too.

The quarterback threw for a whopping 423 passing yards and threw three touchdown passes. The team fended off the Gamecocks by a whisker in the end and won 41-39 to register their fifth victory of the season.

After the week 9 break, the Gators will be ready for the Bulldogs. Can 5-2 Florida pull off what many experts would consider an upset at this point?
