Florida vs Texas injury report Week 11: Updates on DJ Lagway, Isaiah Bond and more

The Florida Gators are getting ready for an SEC battle against the fifth-ranked Texas Longhorns, but the injury report has a lot of significant names on both sides. These injuries can affect how the game goes for both sides, so let's take a look at the most recent injury updates.

Florida Gators injury report

The Florida Gators are one of the most banged-up teams entering Week 11 of the college football season. Let's take a closer look at some of the top players who are dealing with injuries and what their status is.

DJ Lagway, QB

Quarterback DJ Lagway was carted off the field last week with a hamstring injury that seemed severe. Whether it is just mind games or something else, the Gators officially are listing him as questionable for this game.

Lagway officially became the starting quarterback once Graham Mertz suffered a torn ACL. Lagway has gone 56-of-92 (60.9%) for 1,071 yards with six passing touchdowns to five interceptions while also rushing 37 times for 114 yards (3.1 yards per carry).

Montrell Johnson Jr, RB

Senior running back Montrell Johnson Jr. has popped up on this week's injury report and is questionable to play for this game. He had missed the previous two games with the injury and was a massive loss for the team.

This season, Johnson has 70 rushing attempts for 373 yards (5.3 yards per carry) with four rushing touchdowns, while also adding 13 catches for 64 yards (4.9 yards per reception).

Elijhah Badger, WR

Senior wide receiver Elijhah Badger has been dominating as he recorded 24 catches for 560 yards (23.3 yards per reception) with a pair of touchdown grabs. He is dealing with an undisclosed injury and is not expected to play as he was ruled out on the most recent injury report.

Texas Longhorns injury report

The Texas Longhorns are not as banged up as the Florida Gators are as they have a handful of players on the injury report. Let's take a look at the pair of players whose status is up in the air.

Velton Gardner, RB

Senior running back Velton Gardner has not seen the field too much this season. That is likely to continue as he is dealing with an undisclosed injury and it's expected that he will miss this game. Gardner has just eight rushes for 26 yards (3.3 yards per attempt) this season and has not played since Sept. 14.

Isaiah Bond, WR

Junior wide receiver Isaiah Bond is expected to play as he is officially listed as probable for this Week 11 clash with the Florida Gators. Bond is dealing with an ankle injury that forced him to miss the Vanderbilt game.

He has been able to do well this year as he has 23 receptions for 380 yards (16.5 yards per catch) with four receiving touchdowns. He also has a pair of carries for 51 yards (25.5 yards per rush) and an additional touchdown.
