"For my sweet Winston": Dillon Gabriel's fiancée shows off her new tattoo to pay a touching tribute to her late dog
Dillon Gabriel's fiancée Zoe Caswell flaunted her new tattoo on Instagram, which was for her late dog, Winston. On her Instagram story on Friday, Caswell posted a picture of her body art design just above her elbow.
"For my sweet Winston," Caswell wrote on the post while paying tribute to her late dog.
Gabriel and Caswell's miniature schnauzer Winston died in July this year. The pup had an incurable issue with his stomach and needed to be put down.
Gabriel had previously posted a heartfelt post for Winston on his Instagram after his dog's death.
"Rest in peace to our sweet Winston. You brought more love and joy into our lives than we could’ve ever imagined. You will forever be our son and we will miss you endlessly," Gabriel wrote.
Dillon Gabriel spoke about heartbreak of losing his dog Winston at Oregon's Big Ten Media Day
During Oregon's Big Ten Media Day on July 25, Gabriel said he was heartbroken about losing his dog.
“I’m good,” Gabriel said. “Heartbroken, sorry. It can be a lonely world at times. I think the sport we play in, you kind of navigate a lot with all we go through. Just having someone that understands you, it’s powerful.”
Despite losing his pet in the offseason, Gabriel has been excellent for the top-ranked Oregon Ducks in the 2024 season.
A look at Dillon Gabriel's stats this season
Dillon Gabriel has completed 259 of 351 passes for 3,066 yards and thrown 22 touchdowns with six interceptions. He has also rushed for 155 yards and scored six touchdowns in 11 games for Oregon.
Gabriel's stellar displays have kept Oregon (11-0, 9-0 Big Ten) as one of the few undefeated teams in the country. The Ducks are in pole position to qualify for the College Football Playoff, and with their quarterback firing on all cylinders, they will aim to go all the way and win the national title.
Oregon has an off in Week 13. The Ducks will play their final regular season game against Washington on Nov. 30.
