Olivia Dunne's LSU Lady Tigers women's gymnastics team won their first national championship on Saturday, and the social media darling celebrated big time. The highest-earning female student-athlete, $3.7M NIL value per On3, posted a video of herself holding the national title trophy on her Instagram account. She added the following caption to the post:

The post posted scarcely three hours ago has already garnered over 20,000 likes from Olivia Dunne's fans. All-around champion Haleigh Bryant had this to say about the Lady Tigers achievement:

"I have no words, I'm just so proud of this team. We fought to the very end. It wasn't over until it was over and we got there ... This is something that I dreamed about since I seriously committed in the eighth grade to come to this program, I’m just so, so happy. And, yes, it lives up to every expectation and exceeds everything.”

Angel Reese congratulates Olivia Dunne and fellow LSU Lady Tigers on national title win

Recent Chicago Sky draftee and former LSU women's basketball player Angel Reese congratulated her fellow gymnastics Lady Tigers on their national title win. Reese took to her X account to write the following message for her school's women's gymnastics team:

"NATIONAL CHAMPS!! YESSSSS!!!!! Congrats girliessssss!!!"

Reese recently left LSU after being selected as the No. 7th overall pick of the 2024 WNBA draft. She spent two seasons with the LSU Lady Tigers women's basketball team, winning the national title in the 2022-23 season.

LSU wins and California comes in second place

The California Lady Golden Bears came in second place for the women's gymnastic national title. Utah and Florida rounded up the top four, taking the third and fourth spots respectively.

With their victory, the Lady Tigers have made their mark in the history books, achieving their first-ever national title in the sport.
