Gaming content creator Bordeaux selects his first team to rebuild in College Football 25 in a commitment-style video

Content creator James Bordeaux has decided on the first team to rebuild in EA Sports College Football 25. The social media star shortlisted five teams: the Memphis Tigers, Michigan State Spartans, Houston Cougars, East Carolina Pirates and Nebraska Cornhuskers.

On Friday, Bordeaux made his decision in an Instagram commitment-style post to his 101,000 followers. He initially narrowed the list to the Cougars, Pirates and Cornhuskers before choosing the Huskers as the team to use.

Bordeaux selected the Cornhuskers and will rebuild the former college football powerhouse in the highly anticipated College Football 25.

Why rebuild the Nebraska Cornhuskers in College Football 25?

The Nebraska Cornhuskers are a team with a proud history. However, they have since fallen on hard times, last winning a collegiate football championship in 1997.

The Cornhuskers have won five national titles, 46 conference titles and 10 divisional titles. They have produced three Heisman Trophy winners, 110 first-team All-Americans and 54 consensus All-Americans.

Thus, rebuilding the program will pose a unique challenge for EA College Football 25 creators. The Nebraska Cornhuskers don't have a top-25-ranked offense or defense, so it'll take a full-scale rebuild to lead the program to glory.

The team has potential, and taking it to its sixth national championship will be an intriguing challenge.

What to expect from the Nebraska Cornhuskers in 2024?

The Matt Rhule-coached Nebraska Cornhuskers had a season to forget in 2023, as they ended with a 5-7 record. The Cornhuskers closed out the year on a four-game losing streak and thus missed the chance to play in a bowl game.

However, the school has added some prospects and looks poised for a comeback season of some sort. We expect the team to have a .500 record or better in 2024.

In 2024, college football will have a new postseason format, so coach Matt Rhule and the program will fancy their chances. Let's see whether the team can enjoy a real-life rebuild and return to its glory days in record time.
