Georgia Bulldogs recruiting: Kirby Smart adds No.1 rated 5-star DL to his 2025 recruiting class
The University of Georgia is known for having a stellar defensive line and the Bulldogs just got better with an addition to their 2025 recruiting class. They received a commitment from Savannah Christian five-star defensive lineman Elijah Griffin on Oct. 18, a day before their game against Texas.
Elijah Griffin discusses his Georgia commitment
Elijah Griffin had a commitment ceremony at his high school, where, like many recruits, he chose between three hats indicating his top schools. He picked the Bulldogs over USC and Miami. The big decision was also announced on various social media platforms.
Elijah Griffin talked to 247sports' Benjamin Wolk about his commitment and how he fits in at the University of Georgia:
"Honestly just seeing the whole D-line in action and how I felt I could relate to everybody in that D-line room and how I felt like I'm capable of fitting in that system and what the standard in that building is. It's something set at a high level, and that's something I want to be a part of, a winning program.
"I'm just testing my courage by going to the University of Georgia because it's not going to be easy. It's definitely not going to be easy, and I know that. At the end of the day, this game is a business, and I want to take advantage of whatever I can. Also, development is the key, and this is the best decision for me personally."
