The Marshall Thundering Herd were able to take advantage of a porous run defense. Marshall registered 295 rushing yards on 37 attempts (8.0 yards per carry) and that really opened the game up for them. A.J. Turner's ability to find the end zone made this game feel a lot different from the jump.
