"Get a football manual": Coach Prime's ex-wife Pilar Sanders jumps to son Shilo's defense after fan accuses him of 'targeting'
Pilar Sanders has been around the sport of football for a while now. She must know the game inside out, having been married to Deion Sanders from 1999-2013. If that wasn't enough, her two sons, Shedeur and Shilo Sanders, have been playing football for over half a decade.
So, Coach Prime's ex-wife didn't take a moment to rush to Shilo's support on Instagram when one user commented on the Colorado safety's tackle on Arizona quarterback Noah Fifita during the Week 8 matchup on Saturday.
Here's the post that Pilar captioned:
"Just in case you missed some of the highlightsβ¦. GO @shilosanders πππππ½ππ½"
The Instagram user accused Shilo of "targeting" the quarterback on Pilar's post, which was meant to hype up her son after his commanding performance against Brent Brennan's team. However, Pilar was having none of it. She bluntly replied:
"plz get a football manual"
It was a week of redemption for the Colorado safety who silenced his critics with his performance in Colorado's dominant 34-7 win over Arizona.

The Buffs bounced back after a tough Week 7 loss to the then-No. 18 Kansas State Wildcats (6-1, 2-1, Big 12). Coach Primeβs son was criticized for his six-tackle effort last week. Though he only recorded four tackles against Arizona in Week 8, his impact was undeniable in Coloradoβs statement win, stifling Arizona's offense. He limited Wildcats quarterback Noah Fifita to just 134 passing yards.
Shilo confronted his doubters in a postgame video, asking:
"What you hating on me last week, and do you want me to keep going?"
Pilar commented on the above video: βYep Keep that same energy! ππ½ππ½ππ½ππ½π―π―π―π―β
Shilo also credited the entire team, saying:
"Everybody is capable and we have a team capable of winning every game, and that's what we did today. Everybody played like themselves."
In Week 9, the Buffs host the Cincinnati Bearcats (5-2, 3-1, Big 12) at Folsom Field.
