"Get rid of Daniel Jones": Giants GM Joe Schoen heckled by fan as he spends his bye week scouting Shedeur Sanders & Co.

The Week 12 matchup between Utah Utes and Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday drew some key NFL people, including New York Giants' general manager Joe Schoen. In the background of the video below, which shows two-way star Travis Hunter warming up for the game, you can hear an apparent Giants fan shouting "go get rid of Daniel Jones".

Heading into Week 11 of the NFL season, the New York Giants currently hold the second pick in the 2025 NFL draft and could be eyeing quarterback Shedeur Sanders as a potential selection.

The Giants are going to be in a position where they will need to decide on quarterback Daniel Jones' future. This offseason Jones' contract offers a potential out, allowing them to avoid an additional two years and $82 million in payments. Drafting a quarterback like Shedeur Sanders could be a smart move, but it is interesting that Joe Schoen was at the game.

Is the New York Giants the best fit for Shedeur Sanders?

The New York Giants are going to be in an interesting position as they need a quarterback and Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders would make a lot of sense. Sanders does not make many mistakes in his decision-making after the snap and can get the ball downfield to Giants receivers Malik Nabers and Jalin Hyatt.

While GM Joe Schoen is going to likely have some options to draft a quarterback in the first round, Shedeur could be the likeliest option. Entering Week 12, Shedeur Sanders has completed 250-of-343 (72.9%) of his passes for 2,882 yards with 24 passing touchdowns to six interceptions. Then, you also have the Deion Sanders effect with the pick.

While Deion Sanders has stated multiple times that he plans on staying with the Buffs, he has said that Shedeur Sanders will be part of a team that he approves of. Does the New York Giants fit that mold? If so, the partnership could do wonders, as having Shedeur Sanders as the franchise quarterback for the New York Giants would add a lot of excitement around the G-Men.
