Grayson McCall injury update: Latest on Coastal Carolina QB ahead of Week 9 clash
Grayson McCall, the quarterback for the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, came off his team victory 27-17 over the Arkansas State Red Wolves. Late in the game, McCall was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. According to the school's statement, he was taken to the health center for "evaluation and observation".
During the fourth quarter, the signal-caller scrambled and slid at the end of his run. He lay for several minutes on the floor before being carted off the field.
According to the school statement, the player was alert and conscious at all times.
"[McCall was in] excellent spirits and the results of his scans have been very positive," the statement read.
