Lane Kiffin is brimming with confidence as he enters his fifth season in charge of the Ole Miss Rebels. With the 2024 College Football Playoff in sight, the Rebels head coach believes his team has the experience and talent to contend for national honors.

In an interview with the USA Today Network, Kiffin shared his excitement about the upcoming season and the strength of his roster.

"There's a ton of experience, whether that’s here or transfers from other places, including SEC schools," Kiffin said.

The $14 million HC (as per Celebrity Net Worth) discussed the significant SEC experience within the team, noting that many players have already made plays against their upcoming opponents.

He believes in the role of the NIL (name, image and likeness) collective in retaining top talent and attracting high-level transfers.

"We had a number of players that I feel like normally go out to the draft come back, because they wanted to do something special. And, you have to say how it is, having a good (NIL) collective makes that easier," he explained.

Ole Miss has made a name for itself with impressive transfer portal acquisitions, boasting the third-best winning percentage in the SEC behind Georgia and Alabama.

Five-star receiver Jerome Myles, originally committed to the Rebels on April 28, has decided to reopen his recruitment. Myles, who shared his decision on social media, is a highly sought-after talent, and his departure is a loss for the Rebels.

Adding to the upheaval, four-star receiver Dillon Alfred has also chosen to withdraw his commitment from Ole Miss, as per On3. Alfred was a promising addition to Kiffin's roster. With 58 catches, 1,310 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns in his sophomore year at Gautier High School, his exit is detrimental to the Rebels’ recruiting efforts.

Meanwhile, four-star edge rusher Corey Amos, who had pledged his commitment in February, is reportedly considering a flip to Tulane.
