"He done for this game": Texas fans pissed as RB woes continue to haunt Steve Sarkisian

Running back injuries continue to haunt the No.3 Texas Longhorns as Jaydon Blue exited Saturday's game versus the Michigan Wolverines with an apparent leg injury. The junior running back converted a short third-and-two for the Longhorns before hobbling off the field without putting any weight on his left leg.

Blue re-entered the game later in the second quarter but didn't carry the ball for Texas.

At halftime, Longhorn fans voiced their concerns about the latest injury in Texas' backfield on X (formerly Twitter).

"He done for this game," one fan said.
"He needs to sit and rest. If he plays it could get worse," another fan said.
"From that late tackle out of bounds they didn't call?" one fan said.

Other fans continued to voice their concerns for Blue's health, calling for the running back to sit for the remainder of the game.

"He don't need to play," one fan said.
"Rest him, get healthy Blue. Wisner and Gibson will cover for you," another fan said.
"As much as I want him back, I would rather have him rest and be ready for next week. If not for the other games, the big ones when we will need him," one fan said.

Blue is the latest running back to suffer an injury for the Longhorns. He joins CJ Baxter and Christian Clark, both of whom will miss the entire 2024-25 college football season.

No. 3 Texas up big on No. 10 Michigan in third quarter of Week 2 clash

Despite yet another injury to their backfield, the No. 3 Longhorns are rolling versus the Wolverines in the Big House, leading Michigan 24-3 as the third quarter winds down.

Texas has notched 291 total yards of offense while limiting Michigan to just 142. The Longhorns are also coming up big on third down, currently converting on eight of their 11 third-down opportunities.

The Longhorn defense is answering the call versus the Wolverines, holding the Wolverines to just two of seven on third-down conversions, and getting the ball back to their offense.

Quinn Ewers is also shining for the Longhorns, completing 20 of his 29 pass attempts for 213 yards and two touchdowns to this point of the game. Michigan will look to gain some momentum offensively to pull the game back to within reach.
