“He’s just not good”: CFB fans drop hard-hitting comments as Brock Purdy’s brother Chubba Purdy reportedly enters the transfer portal again
Brock Purdy's younger brother Chubba Purdy reportedly entered the transfer portal after spending one season at Nevada. The quarterback began his college career at Florida State, spending two seasons with the Seminoles before transferring to Nebraska for two more. Now, after one more year at Nevada, Chubba plans to move elsewhere for his final year of eligibility.
Chubba had committed to San Jose State out of the portal before flipping his commitment to Nevada in January this year. After it was reported that Chubba had entered the transfer portal again on Tuesday, fans had some hard-hitting reactions to the signal-caller's decision.
"Damn, dude… Going to your 4th school now…? Just go hit up whatever D2 is in San Francisco and get your degree already." anothed tweeted.
Some also had fun poking fun at Chubba for his many transfers.
"Bro changing schools like seasons," another tweeted.
"Bros just playing road to glory mode at this point," a user tweeted.
Chubba was Brandon Lewis' backup at Nevada this season. He played in seven games and threw for 239 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He also rushed for 60 yards on 13 carries.
Chubba Purdy will want to follow in his brother Brock Purdy's footsteps
Chubba Purdy's brother, Brock, has made quite a name for himself in the NFL. The San Francisco 49ers picked Brock with the final overall pick in the 2022 draft.
Brock Purdy became the starting quarterback for the 49ers in his first season with the team after injuries to Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo. Since then, he has nailed down the San Francisco's starter role.
Brock Purdy led the 49ers to the Super Bowl last season, but the team lost 25–22 to the Kansas City Chiefs in the big game.
Chubba Purdy will hope for more game time next season after entering the transfer portal and potentially getting a starting role on a team. Scouts and analysts will likely notice his ability if he plays regular football, which could help boost his draft stock.
