"He’s a mfkn dawg": Fans root for Arch Manning as backup QB impresses following Quinn Ewers injury

Arch Manning has taken Quinn Quinn Ewers's spot in Texas's game versus the UTSA Roadrunners. The starting quarterback was taken off the field in the first half of the game due to what Steve Sarkisian described as a strained abdomen during the halftime break.

Arch Manning has already stolen the spotlight, scoring a 19-yard touchdown pass in his first play of the game. To make it even more impressive, in Texas's next drive, Manning scored a 67-yard rushing touchdown.

Although he has been sacked once, the game is squarely in the Longhorns camp with them leading 28-7 at halftime. Some fans already seem to be asking the question that will inevitably come:

"Let the debate begin. Should they start Arch or Quinn when he’s healthy again. It’s coming"

The world of college football is not ready for another Manning:

"I can’t wait for him to take the reigns next year, he’s a mfkn dawg"

Others reminded the rest of us that in the end, it's just UTSA. So let's not jump to conclusions here:

"It’s UTSA 🙄🤣"

In general, fans were really impressed by Arch Manning's performance:

After subbing for Quinn Ewers in the second quarter of the game versus the Roadrunners, the Texas quarterback threw for 25 yards, completing three out of five passes, and scoring one touchdown in his opening play.

However, it's been through the ground that he has left his biggest mark on the game, with him scoring a 67-yard touchdown. Nonetheless, the official records of the game have him as having run 53 yards, with one touchdown.

Ewers himself wasn't doing half bad before leaving the game, with 185 passing yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in a little over a quarter. Former Alabama wide receiver Isaiah Bond is leading the Longhorns in receiving yards, with 52 in four receptions with one touchdown catch. He's closely followed by Gunnar Helm, who has 49 receiving yards in the game so far.
